Make sure your first weekend in August is dedicated to coming out and attending the Mountain Dance and Folk Festival, an annual tradition that brings together mountain fiddlers, banjo players, dancers, and more. This event has been bringing together the local community and visitors from around the globe since 1928 and will once again set up stage at Diana Wortham Theatre at Pack Palace in downtown Asheville.

Mark your calendar for three days of music and fun this August 4, 5, and 6, 2016. The show begins at 7 p.m. each night and features a lineup of talent from the high country. Look forward to performances from ballad singers, string bands, mountain fiddlers, and dancers from all around the Great Smokies to the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is a ticketed event and tickets can be purchased from the Diana Wortham Theatre.
